The well-being of all our residents is paramount. We encourage activities that will contribute to the social, spiritual and mental well-being of our residents but ultimately they choose whether or not to join in the activities that are organised by their community.
The current activities include:
- organised walks
- chairobic classes
- a craft circle: handiworks such as knitting and crocheting
- making of jam and marmalade preserves
- bible study
- church services
Many social gatherings and activities take place at The Centre. It is also home to the library, which includes a DVD collection and large print books. The majority of the contents have been donated or funded by donations for which we are very grateful.
Our chapel reflects our history in that many decades ago Marian Villa was a nunnery. The beautiful stained glass chapel holds services for all denominations and the Catholic service is open to the public.
Our Annual Fete is a key fundraising activity and everyone is involved including the management team, the residents as well as our caterers.
The sense of community at Marian Villa is valued by all of us. Our residents love to get involved; keeping an eye on their fellow residents and approaching a staff member if they are concerned about the welfare of a friend.
Residents have access to a range of services including:
- A hairdresser visits twice a week
- A bus service to surrounding malls and for medical appointments
- The onsite clinic for dressing changes, blood pressure and medication checks etc.
